Frequently asked questions
Do students need email addresses?
For now, yes — each participant joins with an email. For younger classes it is simpler to have parents join with their own addresses on behalf of the kids. And for students without an email there is a workaround: the organizer signs them up using their own address with a plus tag — for example, rivera+jake@gmail.com. The emails land in the organizer’s regular inbox, the account stays separate, and the invite link from the email can be forwarded straight to the student or their parents. This is temporary: personal invite links that don’t need an email are coming soon.
Yes. Creating a box, invitations, wishlists, the draw, and the anonymous chat are all free.
What if a student doesn't want to participate?
Nothing — it's voluntary. The draw runs among those who joined, and no player is left out: everyone who takes part both gives and receives a gift.
What if someone joins after the draw?
If one person joins late, the organizer picks which participant to swap with them. If several people join, an additional draw runs among the newcomers only — existing matches stay as they are.
