A family draw can produce an awkward match — like drawing your spouse. Add those pairs as exclusions before the draw so they won’t be matched with each other. You can do the same for relatives who drew each other last year and want someone new this time.

A couple of practical tips
- Ask everyone to add a few wishlist ideas at different price points. It makes it much easier for their Santa to choose something personal instead of reaching for a generic last-minute gift.
- Relatives in other cities can join just like everyone else. Each person can add a mailing address to their card — only their Santa sees it — so the gift can be sent directly.
